Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Fire Suppression Systems Factory in Bangalore
Bangalore, India, September 8, 2011 - UTC Fire & Security India Ltd. today announced the opening of a new Bangalore-based world-class fire suppression systems factory. The facility was officially inaugurated by UTC Fire & Security President Scott Buckhout and the Minister of Public Works for the state of Karnataka Mr. C.M. Udasi in the presence of company executives, local dignitaries and key customers. UTC Fire & Security is a global leader in fire safety and electronic security solutions and is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

Located in the Bommasandra Industrial Area of Bangalore, the new facility has been developed according to the Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED®) principles.
Last September, UTC Fire & Security India Ltd. opened the Hyderabad-based India Innovation & Engineering Center, to design, develop and integrate fire and security products for customers in India and to support global product development for the company’s worldwide operations.
