Chubb Sécurité Launches Full Range of
Extinguishing Electric Controls and Timing Devices (ECTD)

PARIS, France, February 19, 2007 – Chubb Sécurité announced today the launch of UTEX, a new product line of integrated fire detection and automatic extinguishing panels and control systems capable of managing up to 10 fire extinction zones.  Certified in compliance with European standards EN54/2 and EN 54/5 for detection, and EN 12094 for extinguishing, UTEX can be used in both modular and centralized installations.  Chubb Sécurité is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. The launch of UTEX positions Chubb Sécurité as the only company in France – and one of only a few in Europe – to offer a complete range of integrated automatic fire detection and extinguishing control systems.

Highly innovative, the UTEX product line is the only ECTD on the market that enables the use of remote control units for connecting inputs/outputs and for mirroring signals.  Developed using the latest technologies UTEX is designed to adapt to a wide variety of risks and configuration possibilities.
