Auto Fire Extinguisher from Kidde
Offers Protection In Case of Emergency 

ORLANDO, Fla., June 4, 2006 – Kidde, a worldwide leader in fire safety products, announced today the launch of its new automobile fire extinguisher.  Developed with the dependability and quality of Kidde’s other fire safety products, the new auto extinguisher contains two pounds of firefighting agent and is suitable for use on flammable liquids and energized electrical fires.  Kidde is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

The unit uses a non-toxic extinguishing agent, designed for easy cleanup in the vehicle and is made of a lightweight aluminum with a tough nylon valve assembly.  A retention strap bracket makes it easy to mount the unit inside the vehicle’s passenger compartment or trunk.  The Kidde Automobile Fire Extinguisher retails for $15 and is available in Wal-Mart’s automotive department and select automotive retailers.
