Lenel Unveils New Corporate Logo

ASIS 2006, San Diego, Booth # 4225, Sept. 25, 2006 — Lenel Systems International announced today the introduction of a new corporate identity designed to highlight its track record of technological innovation and align Lenel with its new parent company, UTC Fire & Security, which is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

David Cunningham, president of Lenel, said that while the corporate identity was changing, customers could still expect the same standard of excellence and innovation from the company.  “Lenel offers integrated security management solutions that set the industry standard. Our new corporate identity is designed to reflect the values of innovation and technological excellence that are at the heart of our company and our products.”

The new logo is a blend of three elements. For the logotype, the corporate moniker “Lenel” is displayed in a contemporary, mixed-case type style that acknowledges the company’s history of technology leadership. The innovative logo mark is a graphical symbol that draws on Lenel’s specialization in integrated security management.  The symbol contains a dot that represents a person, physical property or piece of information within a physical or digital space, and a pathway that symbolizes that the person, property or information is monitored and safeguarded as it moves through the real or virtual area of protection.

Below the logo mark is the endorsement “A UTC Fire & Security Company,” reflecting Lenel’s parentage.

Lenel will introduce the new design with a campaign at the ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits in San Diego. The campaign encompasses all elements of business and marketing communications, including a new portfolio of advertisements and a new trade show booth design.
