SHANGHAI July 2, 2007 –  UTC Fire & Security, a business unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), signed a share purchase agreement today to acquire a stake in India-based Alba Control Systems Ltd, subject to regulatory approvals.  Founded in 1989 by Rajeev and Sanjeev Bajaj, Alba Control Systems (Alba) is a strong player in India’s electronic security market.

Headquartered in Gurgaon, India, Alba installs, services and maintains CCTV, access control, biometric ID, intruder and perimeter alarms, and digital network video systems.  Alba’s clients include multinational corporations, information technology and real estate management companies as well as the public sector. Alba has approximately 140 employees and branch offices in New Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
