ATLANTA, GA – September 21, 2009 – Onity, one of the world’s leading providers of electronic locking solutions, today announced that they have completed a successful integration of their CT30 offline locks into the OnGuard® security software platform, developed by Lenel Systems International. This integration makes it possible to program, manage, encode and monitor CT30 offline locks from within the OnGuard environment, allowing facility managers to address both interior and exterior doors from a single application. Through the integration between the CT30 lock, Onity’s best selling commercial lock hardware, and OnGuard, Lenel’s advanced security management software platform, commercial facilities will now have the ability to secure interior doors not typically addressed due to the higher cost for traditional online access control. The CT30/OnGuard integration provides an affordable solution by combining both mechanical and electronic lock solutions in a fully integrated access control system.

“This integration is significant because it creates a ‘Total Building Solution’, allowing both online and offline locks to be managed and monitored from a central database,” said Christopher Freeman, Onity’s commercial product manager. “The cost of the CT30 lock is about 1/10th that of a traditional online door lock and no wiring is required for installation, so the savings can be quite substantial.”

The CT30 lock comes standard with reliable, keycard-operated magnetic stripe technology, and offers a PIN-code keypad for an extra layer of security.

The seamless integration of Onity’s CT30 lock was made possible by the open architecture design standards of the OnGuard system, which allow synergistic technologies to run on the same platform. In addition to electronic locking and access control integration, the OnGuard security product offers alarm monitoring, digital video, intrusion detection, asset tracking, information security integration, credential production, and employee and visitor management functionality. Individual application modules are available as standalone systems or can be deployed in any combination to deliver a single, seamlessly integrated solution.
